Welcome to Eggleston Services--Business Services EES Program Description
BUSINESS SERVICES PROGRAM
Extended Employment Services
The Business Services Division-Extended Employment Services Program offers the opportunity to work in a supervised environment while achieving the financial and personal rewards that only employment can equal. This is based on the philosophy that the best medium for vocational habilitation is work itself and that the skills and attitudes, which make a person a good employee also enable them to improve their social relationships. The Business Services Division provides vocational assessments, vocational training, employment, and other support services to adults with disabilities. By assisting people in the identification and development of their vocational skills, abilities and interests through paid employment in a supportive environment, the goal of enhancing these individuals’ lives is continually pursued. In addition to learning how to perform various tasks and work duties, employees are also helped to develop attitudes and behaviors which are desirable in an employee; for example, promptness, dependability, ability to complete an assigned task, concern for quality workmanship, proper care of work station and materials, attention to personal appearance, acceptance of instruction and supervision, and learning to get along with fellow workers.
