BUSINESS SERVICES PROGRAM
Transitional Duty Program
The Business Services Division -Transitional Duty Program is designed to support claimant recovery, reduce workers compensation costs, and improve claimant morale.
Individuals recovering from a work-related injury or illness who are unable to return to work and fully perform the essential functions of their jobs, with or without reasonable accommodation, may still be able to undertake an alternative, temporary, transitional position at Eggleston Services in our Business Services Division until recovery is complete. This transitional position will be carefully designed to be appropriate for the skills, knowledge, and capabilities of the recovering employee so that the work can be accomplished safely. The transitional duty placement process is a vital component of a transitional duty program and ensures claimants are identified and placed appropriately according to their functional capacity. An individual able to perform transitional duty will work in a temporary transitional duty position until either he or she has the necessary capacity to perform and return to his or her normal position, or until the transitional duty job is terminated (as stated in the written agreement with the referring agency), whichever is earlier.
The hours of program operation are offered at 8:30am to 3:30pm, Monday through Friday.
