The Annual Board of Directors meeting and Awards Ceremony was held on October 23, 2008. Nearly 200 Eggleston community partners, family members and staff celebrated this year’s award winners: Kyle Dickerson, Associate of the Year; Christopher Moore, Employee of the Year; and Gregory Page, President’s Award recipient.
Eggleston also honored Canon Virginia, Inc. with the Gold Merit Award in recognition of National Disability Employment Awareness Month and Canon’s dedication and commitment to employment of persons with disabilities in Hampton Roads.
Kyle Dickerson named Eggleston’s 2007-2008 Associate of the Year
A member of the Civitan family for more than 12 years, Kyle does not let disability get in the way of accomplishing goals. He is very active in therapeutic recreation programs through the City of Norfolk and the Special Olympics. The sunshine of the Wellness Program, Kyle ensures that others are smiling and happy by offering encouraging hugs or asking for a dance. He possesses an exceptional attitude, caring heart, and unlimited kindness.
Chris Moore named Eggleston’s 2007-2008 Employee of the Year

Chris has worked at the Little Creek Naval Amphibious Base as a custodian for the Special Warfare Group II Seal Teams since 2004, previously serving the Eggleston family in Laundry Services and the Norfolk Zoo. Demonstrating excellence in all that he does, Chris is a joy to be and possess with an attitude and glow that brightens any room. He is loyal, trustworthy, and dedicated to service.

Greg always finds a way to meet the needs of others with a smile and enthusiasm. He goes above and beyond in demonstrating dedication and commitment in the quality of work he produces. He is honest and forthcoming and demonstrates a work ethic and desire that is anchored in quality and excellence.
