The Annual Board of Directors meeting and Awards Ceremony were held on October 23, 2009. Over 200 Eggleston community partners, family members and staff celebrated this year’s award winners: Neil Morris, Associate of the Year; Tracey James, Employee of the Year; and Angelina Smith, President’s Award recipient.

Associate of the Year
Neil Morris

The Wellness Program
Neil was selected as Associate of the Year because he consistently demonstrates outstanding achievement and continuous growth within the program at our Civitan Acres facility. Initially Neil had struggled with feelings of frustration but over the last few years he has grown to exhibit a positive attitude and friendly temperament.
Each morning, Neil makes sure to greet all of his peers and staff with a huge “Hello!”
Demonstrating a real love for music, Neil knows all the songs on the radio, no matter the genre or station. He loves to sing and dance, and “get his groove on!” Neal’s smiling face is an asset to the Eggleston family.

Little Creek Custodial Services
Tracey James works at the Little Creek Naval Amphibious Base as a custodian for the Special Warfare Group II Seal Team She was selected as Employee of the Year for her demonstration of on-the-job achievements and her contributions as a mentor and model employee. Tracey consistently exhibits independent ability and exceeds work requirements; maintaining good attendance and punctuality, following safety procedures, and demonstrating respect for authority.
Trusted by our customers, Tracey is able to proceed unescorted by Navy Personnel as she completes her work assignments. She is a true team player, volunteering to help others with assigned tasks and assisting without complaint.
Tracey is truly an asset and valued member of the Little Creek Custodial Team.

Angelina Smith

Angelina Smith currently serves in an administrative capacity to the Board of Directors, Executive and Senior Management Teams, and the organization as a whole. She was selected as the 2009 President’s Award recipient because she demonstrates outstanding achievement and performance.
Angelina has worked diligently to make superior customer service a priority. Angelina plans and organizes the quarterly Board of Directors meetings and corporate events; and in 2009 she took on the added role of United Way Campaign Coordinator, increasing Eggleston donations to meet and exceed the goals established for the South Hampton Roads Campaign. A true “change agent”, Angelina continuously seeks to improve the organization. |
