Eggleston Services

Since 1999, Eggleston Services has been providing an array of services at Civitan Acres. Located in Chesapeake, VA on 14-acres, Civitan Acres provides vacation opportunities and a year-round wellness program for adults with intellectual and/or physical disabilities.

Our Wellness Program is CARF accredited. We provide day support services for individuals who want a year-round program supporting them in activities that help develop and balance their physical, social, emotional, intellectual and spiritual well-being.

Our Leisure Services program offers vacation opportunities for adults with various disabilities. As of now, day-only or overnight opportunities are offered during the summer months. Everyone has the opportunity to relax and enjoy themselves in a positive and therapeutic environment. No matter what your leisure needs, Civitan Acres is sure to have something for you!

In the past the Civitan Acres property has been rented for various functions and groups but currently the property is not available for rent.

Summer Vacations 2010
***New Combo Session!!!* (Now Taking Reservations; Call 757-487-6062 for details) This will combine sessions 3 & 4, July 11 - 23, 2010. Campers will participate in both session's activities and a special trip on the weekend. Lots of fun on this 13-day vacation for $1150!
Week 1:	June 27-July 2	TAKE-A-BREAK #1!! (Overnight only - Adults) $425
		Start the summer off right! Come spend your vacation jewelry making, dancing, swimming or simply enjoying some quality rest and relaxation. Have lunch out and go to the bowling alley.
Week 2:	July 4-July 9	ANIMAL JUNGLE!! (Overnight only- Adults) $425
		Enjoy a tour of local museums and attractions as well as try a Hand at fishing off the pier. Enjoy the pool and other great camp activities.
Week 3:	July 11-July 16	COASTER MASTERS!! (Overnight only - Adults) $499
		Off we go to BUSCH GARDENS EUROPE! We never can get enough..Rides, Shows, and Rollercoaster's. Also enjoy a trip to the movies.
Week 4:	July 18-July 23	#1 FANS!! (Overnight only - Adults) $450
		Trip to Norfolk Tide's game. Week of sports and games for the Number #1 sports fan! Also enjoy lunch out.
Week 5:	July 25-July 30	TAKE A BREAK #2 (Overnight only - Adults) $425
		PART 2...A must do! Come spend your vacation jewelry making, having lunch out, dancing, and swimming. Also enjoy a trip to the movies.
Week 6:	August 3-7	Take a Break: Part 3 Adult Day Camp - $399 or Overnight - $425
		This is a DAY CAMP or OVERNIGHT week. Come and See Part 3! Overnight start on Sunday, Day camp on Monday. Enjoy lunch out and a choice of bowling or movies. Of course, the usual camp activities, swimming, and crafts are included.
Week 7:	August 10-14	THRILL SEEKERS!! (Overnight only - Adults) $499
		Here we go again to BUSCH GARDENS! We just couldn't get enough..Rides, Shows, & Rollercoasters.

Directions to Civitan Acres

From I-64-Chesapeake

Take exit # 291-B Elizabeth City/Nags Head
Veer towards the right to 17-Elizabeth City-this will put you on Dominion Blvd.
After crossing the Steel Bridge-take a right onto Moses Grandy Trail (there is a 7-11 on this corner.)
Continue to the first light and take a left onto Cedar Road.
Follow down 1.5 miles and the Camp will be on your right side.

From Hampton/Newport News

Take I-664- to Monitor Merrimac Bridge-Tunnel
Follow the signs to Chesapeake
Take exit #296-Portsmouth/Deep Creek
At the end of the exit, veer towards the right. This will put you on George Washington Highway
Continue on George Washington Hwy. Take a left at light on Moses Grandy Trail-there will be a 7-11 on your right hand side
Get in the far right hand lane and continue to next light. Take right onto Cedar Road.
Follow down 1.5 miles and Civitan Acres will be on your left hand side.
