DAY SUPPORT PROGRAM
Tanners Creek Day Support Program opened its doors in 1999 and is located next to the Garden Center. The Program is designed for individuals who desire a year round program based on improving the quality of life for individuals with disabilities. Our focus is to help individuals obtain the necessary life skills they need to live their own lives. This is accomplished through various activities and outings to place the individuals in every day life situations. We welcome and encourage family members to get involved with our program We currently serve 27 individuals with varying degrees of disabilities. GREENHOUSE & GARDEN CENTER
Tanners Creek Horticultural Services opened in 1999, and represents the shared vision of both Eggleston Services and the Virginia Zoological Society creating "horticulturally" focused employment and training opportunities for individuals with disabilities. Our Greenhouse operation provides associates the ability to learn plant propagation, and greenhouse management. The Garden Center offers training in a retail environment and landscaping services including landscape design, installation and grounds maintenance. Our Horticultural training Facility and greenhouses are located next to the Virginia Zoological Park and our retail sales location is in the Historic Riverview section of Norfolk less than half a mile away. |
