Eggleston’s Department of Workforce Development specializes in the training and placement of individuals who are seeking employment for the first time, returning to the workforce, looking to make a career change or desiring to update skills which will enhance employment opportunities. The program is designed to assist participants in gaining knowledge about job readiness, customized employer training, healthy work attitudes, setting realistic employment goals, interpersonal/life skills, building self-esteem, computer skills and customer service. Eggleston can also link participants to an extensive network of supportive job placement and retention services, which may be needed to assist in maintaining long-term gainful employment.
Eggleston’s workforce readiness program is unique because we do not restrict learning to the classroom. We arrange for associates to demonstrate their new skills and behaviors in actual work environments. This “real time” demonstration is an invaluable tool in gauging progress, building self-esteem and developing relationships with potential employers.
Eggleston Services works hard to open career doors for each associate. We are out in the job market looking for hiring trends, networking with employers and discovering what employers are looking for and designing training objectives which will meet an always changing market. Today’s employers are looking for employees who are independent decision makers, self-managed learners and exhibit a positive attitude. The education and employment preparation must include computer literacy, communication, time management and interpersonal skills.
