Our contracts with the government have offered our participants hundreds of job opportunities, while also giving us the chance to supply the government with needed services at a reasonable price. Eggleston Services operates its own linen service plant and provides food, mailroom and custodial services to the government and local businesses. These services offer our participants meaningful work opportunities while also providing revenue. Our government clients include Portsmouth Naval Medical Center, Naval Station Norfolk, the Coast Guard, the Army at Ft. Lee and Ft. Eustis, the Army Corps of Engineers, the Camp Allen Marine base and the Navy Seal Team. Our linen processing plant produces 5 million pounds of clean linens annually for local hospitals and military commands.

Eggleston Services also provides local businesses a variety of services at competitive rates in our Business Fulfillment Centers. Those services include bulk mail processing, packaging, assembly, lamination, order fulfillment and warehousing. Our community business partners rely on the Eggleston team to provide accurate and timely services, and our employees are dedicated to get the job done right the first time. Our partners include Trader Publishing, Cox Communications, Lake Taylor Hospital, Sentara, Busch Gardens and many others.

Our Tanners Creek Horticultural Center gives our participants room to grow. Opened in 1999, our horticultural facility next to the Virginia Zoo provides education, training and employment opportunities in plant propagation, care, and grounds maintenance. The Tanners Creek facilities represent the shared vision of both Eggleston Services and The Virginia Zoological Society. While our participants benefit from the horticultural therapy and work opportunities provided by Tanners Creek, the community benefits from the garden products we sell at our retail Tanners Creek Garden Center on Granby Street, in the heart of the Riverview neighborhood.

Our Eggleston Automotive Center, on Sewells Point Road in Norfolk, VA, provides employment opportunities for participants interested in learning about car care. It also serves as the auto auction site for our donated vehicles program. Donate your unwanted vehicle, take a tax deduction, and provide many other benefits for our participants in your community.

Eggleston Services also provides community-based employment opportunities for employees and participants who desire to work in host companies located throughout the surrounding Hampton Roads Region. Specifically, partnerships with The Va. Zoo and the YMCA-Bute Street create employment opportunities for 17 disabled individuals. Additional partnerships with Norfolk, Suffolk & Va. Beach Social Services allow us to focus on the training aspect of our mission as we assist individuals in the transition from welfare-to-work.
