We are currently seeking applicants for a full time Custodian at Little Creek Base. The position must be filled by an individual with a documented disability.
Custodian performs all aspects of custodial maintenance in a multi-building complex to include; sweeping; mopping; dusting; removing trash; cleaning windows, toilets, sinks, counters, and blinds; stripping and waxing floors; and operating power equipment, such as buffers and scrubbers. Work is performed both indoors and outdoors with exposure to dust, mold, and cleaning solvents.
Custodial experience preferred, must have experience with floor care (sweep, mop, strip, wax, buff, etc.) Must be available to work up to 35 hours per week, during the hours of 8:00 A.M. to 4:30 P.M, Monday through Friday. Applicants must be able to read/write. Be able to tolerate dust, mold, and various cleaning solvents. Be able to work independently or as part of a team. Applicants must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs without assistance, reach and bend through a full range of motion, and stand for the duration of the shift including the ability to travel between buildings as well as exposure to prevailing weather conditions. Must have reliable transportation. Pre-Employment drug testing and clearance through a criminal /security background investigation for access to military installation is required.
