We are currently seeking applicants for a full time Facility Maintenance Technician.
Facility Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining facilities and keeping equipment, including laundry equipment, in optimal operating condition. Performs repairs to corporate and facility equipment and properties. Must have good knowledge of carpentry and electrical work. Knowledge of plumbing and mechanical (HVAC) systems a plus. Must have own personal vehicle and work tools.
Qualified applicants must have a high school diploma or GED. Must have eight or more years of general maintenance experience with a minimum of three(3) years’ experience in an industrial setting and knowledge preferred in commercial laundry equipment. Experience and knowledge in carpentry and commercial electric systems, mechanical systems and service. Knowledge of electronic control systems, hydraulics, and pneumatics a plus. Must be able to interpret service manuals and schematics. Perform math functions and equations at high school grade level. Must be able to utilize Microsoft Office applications. Excellent communication skills both oral and written. Ability to supervise up to two other individuals. The work is performed in an industrial setting. Must be able to tolerate a work environment that is prone to high and low temperature fluctuations, dust, dirt, lint, industrial fluids; be able to lift 50 pounds and be able to stand the majority of the shift, bending, climbing and all other motions and positions necessary to perform maintenance and repairs. Work may also be performed outside during times of inclement weather. Pre-employment drug testing, clearance through criminal background investigation, and acceptable driving record required. Current DMV record must be submitted to be considered.
