Residential House Manager- Residential Services-Full Time-Carlson-Hampton – Enjoy a rewarding and challenging position with a nonprofit organization that has been helping educate, train and provide employment opportunities for individuals with disabilities since 1955. We are currently seeking applicants for a full time Residential House Manager to manage a group home in Hampton. Manager must be available to work rotating shifts and weekends Sunday thru Saturday and must have the ability to be flexible and be available weekends, rotating shifts, and holidays as needed.
Manager assists in managing daily activities in a community setting in order to achieve the mission of providing individuals with intellectual disabilities; care, skill training, support and assistance, supervision, and a positive living environment. Duties include; providing direct oversight of daily activities at a group home; supervise, train, and evaluate Direct Support Professionals; provide backup coverage; interview and hire staff and maintain adequate staffing schedules; assisting with skill assessments, developing individual service plans, completing documentation, implementing behavior programs; ensuring compliance with state licensure requirements for documentation, staff training, quality of services, health and safety; supervising staff; and managing household expenditures.
A Bachelor’s degree in Human Services or related field is highly preferred and one year of experience working with individuals with intellectual disabilities, or any combination of equivalent education and experience. Supervisory experience preferred. Must have experience using Microsoft Office to complete work tasks. Physical stamina to assist individuals with mental and physical disabilities and complete all required training. Must have the ability to communicate orally and in writing. Ability to operate a multi-passenger vehicle. Pre-employment drug testing, clearance through criminal background investigation, and acceptable driving record required.
