Mayor Alan Krasnoff and city council members joined Eggleston and the members of the Association of General Contractors at the groundbreaking of our new residential facility in Chesapeake. Once completed the newly renovated and expanded house will provide a host of accommodations for four persons with disabilities. We are proud to have the support of our partners and the City of Chesapeake as we embark on construction.

The Civitan Acres program is designed to improve the quality of life for individuals with disabilities by helping them develop and balance emotional, intellectual, and physical dimensions of their lives.

During the summer, Civitan Acres hosts a summer vacation camp program. The weeklong camps allow individuals with disabilities to experience a fun summer vacation while giving their caregivers a much needed break.

Our camp counselors are international students from all over the world who join us as part of their educational experience. They come from universities in countries such as England, South Africa, Scotland, Tanzania, and Australia for an educational and rewarding camp counseling experience and exposure to our country.

Runners and walkers of all abilities are welcome to join us for our 8th annual OK5K to benefit Eggleston on Saturday June 4, 2016 at Virginia Wesleyan College. For more information or to register, click here.
