As always, we hope you and yours are well. I want to personally thank you for your support of Eggleston – especially during these last few months. The Eggleston team has worked hard to deliver essential services to those depending on us while ensuring the health and safety of everyone involved.
We have seen an outpouring of community support in response to our needs (we exceeded our fundraising goal of $10,000 for Give Local!), and for that we are most grateful. We continue to explore new ways of empowering and enriching the lives of adults with disabilities during this time and we look forward to continuing our partnership with you to make it possible!

Eggleston Employee, Local Veteran Honored Nationally
Tom Redinger, a 21-year U.S. Navy Veteran, joined our Automotive Center team six years ago as the service manager. Redinger leads an integrated team of individuals with and without disabilities to ensure that 100+ cars are ready for sale in Eggleston’s twice-a-month, public auto auction.
Tom’s leadership has made a positive impact on the Eggleston team, and also in his personal life. In April of this year, Tom was named SourceAmerica’s Honor Roll for Veteran’s Award recipient. Read more about Tom and the Source America award here.
Mission-Essential Work Provided by People with Disabilities during COVID-19
Eggleston is a nonprofit member of the SourceAmerica® network that provides employment to more than 90,000 people with disabilities nationwide under the U.S. AbilityOne Program. The AbilityOne Program is one of the largest sources of employment for people who are blind or have significant disabilities in the U.S.
Thanks to Eggleston, more than 135 people with disabilities have continued working during COVID-19 to provide mission-essential services to our military in laundry, food service, mailroom and custodial services to our military.
In fact, Eggleston provided nearly 3,000 pieces of linen (blankets, sheets and gowns) for the U.S. Naval Ship Comfort that provided relief to New York’s overwhelmed healthcare earlier this year.
