It might be cold outside, but at Eggleston, we are warm and toasty with holiday cheer! We love all the celebrations we have had over the last week – AND we love the visitors we have had this month bringing us joyous and generous gifts! From Turkeys to Hot Chocolate and of course some very important monetary gifts, we are keeping our programs going and our staff and associates happy and working and productive due to the amazing generosity of our supporters, family and friends!

Thank you to Sinclair Station for their Generous Gift!

Thank you to Bob LaGreca and Alhambra for supporting us with a donation!

Thank You to Navy Federal Credit Union for the Holiday oven mittens filled with cookie mix!

Here are some great photos of all our holiday celebrations and decorations across the organization. Thank you again to all of our supporters, staff and families for keeping our holidays so bright!

Here’s to a wonderful 2019!

The Day Services and Residential Services teams had a wonderful time over the last week or so decorating and preparing for their holiday celebrations and our annual decorating contest! The entries for the contest were judged on the following criteria: Creativity, Associate Involvement, and overall Holiday Cheer!

We would like to thank the following teams for their entries:

Howland House

Military Highway

Civitan Acres

Hampton Day Support

Sadly there can only be one winner – and it was a close one – with the winner only taking top spot by one vote – and that winner is: Hampton Day Support!

They had personalized elves, stockings hung by the fire, singing of carols, and so much more! The whole team got involved as well as all the associates and we are so proud of everyone for their wonderful holiday spirit and cheerful decorations! Thank you for spreading holiday cheer and joy across the Eggleston organization! You are truly appreciated!

At Eggleston we are happy to honor and celebrate our people, friends and supporters throughout the region. We did just that last week with a wonderful holiday party! Thank you to all who attended.

This week, as we all prepare to spend time with family and friends we are going to continue to highlight the family and friends of Eggleston across Hampton Roads. From singing carols in day support, to decorating trees at Howland House and lots of gifts and celebrating of all forms in between, all of us at Eggleston feel so blessed to have the people  around us that make Eggleston what it is, a truly wonderful place to work and grow and support others to do the same.

All of us at Eggleston are so proud of Tim Giles, Program Manager of Warrior Bridge, for being honored today at the “Still Serving” awards hosted by Military Newspapers of Virginia MNV and Flagship. Tim was in great company with veterans from all across Hampton Roads who choose to “Still Serve” their community with all that they do. From fostering dogs, saving lives and teaching health and wellness to helping at-risk children and our homeless, these folks live life in the service of others. And Tim Giles is no different! Tim helps all of us at Eggleston aspire to do more and be the best we can in our daily roles here in the office and out in our community. Tim is a Warrior for our Veterans every day; he helps those who cannot always help themselves with a leg up and a hand on their back just when they need it most. Please help us to congratulate Tim on a well-deserved honor and thank him for his continued service to our community and our Veterans.
