Residential Services

Residential Managers

There has been a great deal of change and growth since Tasha Jones became Vice President of Residential Services. As the spring weather teeters its way to us, our residential managers have literally begun opening windows in the homes of our Eggleston residents and creating the breath of fresh air that has been missing. Eggleston provides residential services throughout the Hampton Roads region, and the managers in our Residential Services Department have taken teamwork to a new level, supporting one another, working together, and seeking new and innovative ways to keep good attitudes when the days are rough.

There’s a lot of work to be done, and it must be done well. There is no compromise on the expectation of a high level of quality of service, compliance and care that comes with providing services to individuals 24 hours a day, seven days a week, weekends and holidays included. The residential team sets the bar high and reminds us as Henry Ford has said, “If everyone is moving forward together, then success takes care of itself.”

Are you a good fit for our residential team? President's Day

The Chrysler Museum was pleased to host Eggleston, a local non-profit providing services to persons with disabilities for a special reception featuring art made by Eggleston associates. Coordinated by Jonathan Markham, Manager of Curriculum and Gallery Programs and the Education Department, the project has included a variety of trips to Eggleston’s Day support program in Norfolk. At Eggleston, Chrysler staff interacted and educated associates, but the relationship also included trips to the Chrysler studio where each artist from Eggleston created a work of art based on the Louise Nevelson piece called “Dawn’s Presence”. The display will be in the Gifford room for several weeks for all to enjoy. On hand to speak were Eggleston CEO Paul Atkinson and Museum Deputy Director Susan Leidy. All 12 participating artists were given a year’s membership for their families as a gift.

October is National Disability Employment Awareness Month, a time when we celebrate the powerful impact persons with disabilities make in our community and around the world.  It’s hard to believe this reliable, effective workforce has an unemployment rate of approximately 70%.  We have known for 62 years the power of this often misunderstood workforce.   We invite you to come tour our facilities throughout the month of October.  Please contact Carrie Craddock at craddock.carrie@egglestonservices.org if you would like to come meet some of our excellent employees!
